Roobar @ Cordage Park, Plymouth

I attended a professional networking event at the bar at Roobar on a Tuesday in February. At this event, the Roobar provided its patrons with several of their wood-grilled pizzas to munch on.  Once I bit into the '3 Cheese, 3 Mushroom,' I knew that this place had something special. Now, my appetite can be unprecendented for a woman my size. Therefore, I quickly gobbled a second crusty, garlicky piece of this mushroom masterpiece.  Wanting to experience the other pizzas, I chose the 'Grilled Chicken' pizza, complete with carmelized onions, ricotta, spinach and melted aged cheddar. This flavor was less intense than that savory, mushroom madness. But it was still de-lish!

Three nights later, I was back at Roobar. It was Friday and I was feeling a tad ravenous - simply because I knew I was about to partake in some more incredible fare. This time, I had a waitress who rattled off a few specials - something I am not typically interested in. But she mentioned a European pizza - shaved lamb, red onion, goat cheese, topped with shredded lettuce. I ordered this while my dinner date ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad. We were both in heaven!! But I wasn't finished. Next, I selected the half order of 'Roasted Mushroom and Sage' pasta. This concoction was simply marvelous - sage infused cream sauce, perfectly al dente rigatoni, scrumptious morsels of prosciutto, and the tastiest mushrooms ever! If this was my last meal, I would've died happy as a clam.

As I write this review, I am aware that I should mention the consistent service, trendy blue- and yellow- hued decor, and very reasonable prices - especially considering the quality of the cuisine. Roobar is a must-try, that may turn into a weekly craving.  It has for me!
